Arvilyn Ticano

Hello future RN!

I am Arvilyn Ticano (“Arvy” for short) and I am a Track 1 Senior from San Diego, CA. I am ecstatic to be your Vice President for the 2024-2025 term. Previously, I was Communications Director last term with the help of my artistic background from attending art schools growing up, just like the TV series “Victorious.”

I never hesitated whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. To me, nursing encompasses all the passions I have developed over the years. Partially, perhaps it is familiarity because I come from a family of nurses. Nonetheless, I find myself lost with fascination, thirst for learning, and the abundance of opportunities that nursing provides. This selfless profession is a true reward that warms my heart.

Along with SNA, I am an in-home caregiver for an elderly adult, and the eldest child of 6 siblings. I am anything and everything Sanrio (my melody and pochacco are personally my top tier), love drinking iced matcha lattes, and channel my inner artist here and there through arts and crafts, as well as bullet journal daily!

As Vice President, my responsibilities are to...
  • Organize and execute New Student Orientation for students beginning their nursing courses.
  • Attend state and national conventions to represent SDSU CNSA.
  • Perform all other duties as necessary to assist and support other Board members.
  • Serve as a role model and support system for all fellow nursing students while they progress through the program.
