Patrick ClavillasWhat’s good future nurse! My name is Patrick Clavillas and I’m a Track 1 Senior from San Diego, California. It is my pleasure to serve as your 2024-2025 SNA President. I had fun serving as one of SNA’s Legislative Directors last term so you know I had to run it back and end my nursing school journey in presidential fashion.
With my end goal of becoming a CRNA, I hope to accumulate as many unique experiences in my nursing journey and leave a mark in my nursing community. The opportunities I received through SNA, whether it’s a bonfire to make some new friends or a nursing convention to connect with my future boss, have been critical in my development as a nursing student, and as a person. That is why my goal is to ensure that all of YOU receive those same opportunities and more! When I took my first hands-on “nursing” classes, I seriously thought about whether nursing was for me or not. I realized that making six figures or one-upping my own mother (she’s also a nurse) wasn’t enough reason to pursue the career. That was until I finally understood the satisfaction I get when I see my patients making progress in their health. Being a part of why someone makes progress in their health, education, or just anything is always rewarding. Outside of SNA, I work as a NURS206 or Fundamentals TA. Through this, I have connected with many of the students who attend our SNA general body meetings. When I’m not being studious, you can probably find me at the ARC working out or at Barnes and Noble reading the latest One Piece volume. If you have any questions relating to anything nursing, SNA, or life-related, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other talented members of the SNA Board!
