nina izabel goHello hello! My name is Nina Izabel Go (but I just go by Nina), I’m a Track 1 Senior, and I have the absolute pleasure of serving as SNA’s President for the 2023-2024 school year! I have had the privilege of previously serving SNA as the 2022-2023 Vice President, 2021-2022 Communications Director, and 2020-2021 Freshman Track 1 Cohort Representative, so I am beyond excited to continue my involvement in SNA for my fourth and final year here at SDSU!
For me, my “why” for nursing is because I truly have a passion for helping others. I aim to apply this passion in SNA by working with the rest of the SNA Board of Directors to plan and execute events and programming that align with the needs and interests of nursing students so that students can foster personal and professional growth within themselves. Additionally, another goal of mine is to be accessible to ALL nursing students for literally anything and everything throughout your jouRNey, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any point throughout the year! <3 As for my interests within the nursing field, my love for kiddos has led me to have a career goal of becoming a Pediatric Nurse (either in PICU or Oncology) and to eventually go back to graduate school to become a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist! Furthermore, thanks to my experience of being a Teaching Assistant in one of the Fundamentals of Nursing Practice labs, I have become interested in also serving as a nursing lab or clinical instructor! In addition to SNA, I currently also work as a Patient Care Assistant II at Rady Children’s Hospital on their Hematology/Oncology Inpatient Unit, serve as the Vice President of Internal Affairs for Dance Marathon, and am a member of Andrés Bonifacio Samahan, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, and Rotaract. I have also previously been involved on the Associated Students Leadership Team and the College of Health & Human Services College Council Executive Board. (If any of my involvements interest you, please reach out!) In my free time, I love rediscovering and watching old Disney shows and movies on Disney+, trying the iced caramel macchiatos of new coffee places, and buying things that are in the color pink! Thank you for reading and I can’t wait to meet/get to know you all throughout the year! I hope to see you all at SNA meetings which are biweekly on Mondays at Park Blvd from 5pm to 6pm! :) You can reach me at sdsusnapres@gmail.com |
