Image of Nursing Director - Danica Chun

Hello! My name is Danica Chun, and I’m happy to serve as this year’s Image of Nursing Director! I’m excited to be given this opportunity, and with it, I want to promote the diversity of our School of Nursing! I’ll use my role as Image of Nursing Director to facilitate new connections and interactions  between grades and tracks, as well as showcase both our similarities and differences. Representation is so important, and I want to do it properly. If you have any interesting stories that you’d be willing to share, please let me know!

As for me, I was born in the Philippines, raised in the Bay Area, and came down to San Diego for college. During my free time, I love listening to new music, baking, getting boba, and exploring San Diego. I’m not sure as to what nurse I want to be in the future. I’m keeping an open mind as I go through nursing school, but I’m very interested in community and public health, and giving back to the community. I’m a Track 1, Senior, and I’d like to say that I’ve come to know a lot about this nursing program. If you have any questions throughout the year, please feel free to reach out!
